HL-10
On mine I superglued some thick plastic card tabs along the lower join so they protruded by about 5mm and where about a centimetre apart. I then started to glue the two halves together starting at one side and going slowly around the join, waiting for each tab to set, before gluing the next one. When you get to the overlap, you just need to glue one tab at a time, applying pressure until the glue sets. If you use Epoxy glue, or car body repair filler to fill the gaps, it will add strength and should keep the join solid. There will be a lot of sanding!
