Redstaff
Hi I got back into modelling a couple of years ago after a 30 odd year tea break and when I'm browsing for inspiration or ideas, the web very often brings me here, so I thought it would be an idea to join. I still have an aging stash in the loft and intended to reduce it, however it appears to have grown in the last couple of years. I restarted with a 1/72 lightning and realised my eyes aren't good enough any more for that size, so I built a Tamiya P47 and the excellent Meng P51 in 1/48. I've also made a Tamiya impreza and Belkits Mk1 escort and currently their Manta in 1/24.Think an F1 car will probably be next though. My other hobby is driving and restoring steam engines on a heritage railway. My finished kits are fine to me but nowhere near the standard of some of the superb pics on this site, I will post some pics soon and await the banter Thanks for reading if you've got this far Ian Edited June 21, 2018 by Redstaff More info

Gorby
Welcome to Britmodeller Ian, from another Midlander. Congratulations on concluding that 1/72 is a ridiculously silly scale. I'll look forward to seeing your builds. Gorby
JPuente54
Hello and to Britmodeller from the SE corner of Wisconsin, USA. It's a great place to be. I am Joe; my interests are 1/72nd scale aircraft, any era. Yours is a typical tale; you should fit in just fine. I look forward to your builds, comments, and questions. Ian T
Welcome Ian, I’ve a similar story with scales!! I have a selection of cheap magnifying specs from the local chemist. These are probably making my eyesight worse, but at least I can carry on. Enjoy the forum. Regards Ian
