Eduard MiG-21MF in 72nd scale

Sorry this photo was left off from the previous post. Just to show what was made for comparison with the original kit item and the real fuel filler cover.

This is the final stage of how the tail section looks like with the newly scribed filler cover + latch and weld line (circle) around it.

Yes agree Gabor!

Your showing of the difference in cockpit greens is a great example........the Verlinden MiG-21 book was based aroung a Hungarian machine, which looked greener than the classic jade. I just wrote it off to bad printing!

We have 2 Fishbeds here in NZ, the one you can touch is a Polish UM, but in some Indian tigerstripe camo........ugh.

The bis (or may be MF) is also ex Polish, but sits on a building rooftop.

Apart from being a first class modelling is a great reference source. It is very hard to be so focused on W.I.P. since this is a rather boring occupation. I am confident you really love this subject - project and we all love your work.

Gabor,

your work on the MiG is outstanding! I'm following closely and taking notes as I have couple of Eduard's kits in my stash to be build as Czech AF examples. Keep the photos, real parts, and commentaries coming. They are all very helpful, informative, and great to follow...to say nothing of your skill!

P.S. The Spandau is looking great ;)

Fantastic work on the RATO bottles, I wish my eyes and hands were up to that sort of detailing. Keep up the great work! 👍

Sorry I have to remove my posts
