Orion
Hello Adey, Job well done on this famous aircraft. Regards, Orion.
adey m
A final selection of photos showing my Sunderland servicing diorama Scratchbuilt servicing ladders. Servicing in front of my 1/72 T2 hangar which is scratchbuilt from paper card. The removeable roof hatch. Astrodome had to come from my spares. And finally, ready for its next flight. Thank you for your interest. regards, adey
Pete in Lincs
Excellent as always, Adey. Oddly I'm sure I have the beaching gear in a spares box (probably from 1970 something) but can't remember building a Sunderland.
Buzby061
Great work on some classic plastic. One of those bore my glue stained fingerprints when I was much younger. Pete
glatisant
Have one in that boxing sitting in my stash. Could never match your spectacular build. A thing of beauty!

It is amazing what I find in my spares box, I found the complete undercarriage legs from an Airfix Hampden I built in 1970 the other day. Does your beaching gear have the Penny Farthing wheels ? I think the contents of our spares boxes might make an interesting Topic. regards, adey

I've not been in that box for a while but I know they got painted. (Probably not very well!)

bryanm
Very nice - nostalgia, nostalgia! The first kit I ever tackled, when very young and with much help from my mother. I didn't realise the wheels on the beaching gear pivot for manoeuvring.
bristol boy
Great looking model and detailing. I have one I built aged 12, over 40 years ago, you are tempting me to take it apart and refurbish it!

DMC
Excellent! A bit of “fool the eye” going on there. Cheers Dennis
Michael51
A spectacular build finished off by fine weathering. Well, I thought so until that hangar came into view. That really gives context and is a fine build of itself. Michael
ColinChipmunkfan
I agree with everything Rabbit leader said. Your ingenuity - wireloops for clear vision panel, gauge grills and the attention to the smallest details make this a great model- and then ther is the photography!
Neil.C
Brilliant model Adey. I remember a friend getting an Airfix Sunderland for Christmas 1964 which I believe was their largest aircraft model at the time and I have always fancied having a go at one. However you have set the threshold impossibly high!
