Recommended Posts

#15/2018

Only had a Hasegawa Razorback kit in our stash. Sadly it can´t keep up with the Tamiya kit but my dad gave his best and I think it turned out ok
Barracuda decals used, Eduard seatbelts, Quickboost gun barrels, EZ Line for aerial. Gunze and Tamyia acrylcics.

Build thread here
https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/ind ... -fs-usaaf/

The model shows the aircraft of 1st Lt Rhinert Tadych, 386th FS 365th FG, November 1944, Chièvres, Belgium.

It's not always about the kit you start with, and there aren't many out there who could turn out the Tamiya model as well as that one been built and finished.

thank you very much!

Just realized my dad used the wrong cooling flaps ring. The used Hasegawa kit included only early schemes and stingy Hasegawa only packed the parts neccessary for these versions. Already had to steal the bomb racks from a Hasegawa Bubbletop. Had the right ring in the sparesbox.
Let´s say the cowl is a replacement part from an early machine..

Another great build Reini78. I always look forward to your new builds. The subtle weathering is excellent and very realistic. A great result and I look forward to your next build.

I agree with you Reini - it did turn out "ok"!

I especially like the subtle surface paint effects and the multi-colored tail.

thanks Roman!

There are always glitches, almost no model really turns out as intended. But we can live with it 🙂

I cannot see any "glitches" here ... this is a lovely model you should be proud of!

I take the pics in a way that the glitches aren't too obvious 😀
