No, AFAIK, Slate Grey is a WW2 and immediate post war only, and despite the name, is a greeny grey.

Extra Dark Sea Grey is a dark blue heud grey

Here a period colour shot showing both.

The will be a British Standard Colour for EDSG.

Any Paint brand in particular you want to use?

Gunship Grey lacks the blue hue of Extra Dark Sea Grey and, being an American colour, does not have a direct equivalent in BS381C.  Sadly Humbrol don’t do their 123 Extra Dark Sea Grey as an acrylic spray.  You might want to have a look at the IPMS Stockholm website for a near equivalent.

Are you using the term slate grey in a generic way or to indicate a particular paint ? To the best of my knowledge there is or was no British military aircraft paint known simply as Slate Grey, there were a Dark Slate Grey and a Light Slate Grey, both actually greens.

Then there's a colour named Slate in BS381c, that is a grey. Still not good for EDSG IMHO, being lighter and not bluish.

Last but not least, there are commercial paints that use the name Slate Grey, this coming from the German designation of RAL7015. IMHO this colour is still a bit lighter and not bluish enough, could pass for Extra Dark Sea Grey if you're not too fussy... Finding RAL matched spray cans may be easy, the problem is that these are likely to be generic paints not meant for  scale models and often these don't have particularly fine pigments
