Ian
By no means one of my better builds. TBH after three superb Tamiya kits on the run this Fujimi kit was always going to present less 'builder appeal'. Don't get me wrong the 'car' is nice I really like it, the kit isn't and those terrible 13" wheels look like castors on an oversized couch !! - No matter he she is in glorious Tamiya TS-22 'Light Green'. Please feel free to make any comment, ask a question or hurl abuse. Back to the NASCAR Lumina build now. Ian.
Alpha Delta 210
Great model and finish, as you say just let down by the under-sized wheels.
JeroenS
I wasn't too sure about the green at first but it suits the completed build just fine. I think you would do it justice by fitting some bigger aftermarket wheels!
PatW
Nice and bright Ian, just as I like it! Should have an eyesight health warning stuck on it!
Spiny
Still a good looking result, even if you're not fully happy with it. I know what you mean about the wheels seeming to let it down, but I'm not fully convinced that it's the size of the wheels which are the problem as they aren't all that big in the real thing: (Sorry for the big pic, it's just nicked off Wikipedia!) Where I think the problem lies is that that wheels seem to sit a bit too far inboard of the body, and that gives the impression of them being tiny, particularly the rears. I guess it's too late to try and fit a spacer? I hope this doesn't come across as too nit-picky or negative as 1) it's not meant to be, 2) I'm almost guaranteed to do something similar at some stage in the future, and 3) it's a good result and something I'd be happy to have on the shelf. keefr22
Love that colour Ian, and add me to the list of those who think 'those wheels look very silly!' 13's were standard on my Escort Mexico's back in the 70's, surely they must be at least 15's on an Integra? Whatever, another very nice paintjob and as Jeroen says you could always stick an aftermarket wheel set on it. Keith PS currently watching Le Mans qualifying & Porsche are running 2 911 RSR's in retro liveries - one representing the Rothmans 956 & one the 'Pink Pig' 917 - two great ideas for Tamiya 911 GT2's!! Redstaff
My lad's got one of these and one of the first things he changed was the wheels as they always looked wrong Think these look a lot better Total beast of a car though, especially when the VTEC kicks in
willciviceg5
There is a spacer you can put between the disc and wheel to bring the wheel further out. It is a small flat piece like a disc with a hole in the centre. I had to do it to mine but ended up changing the wheels anyway to TE37's I then changed them to Enkei's but I havn't taken proper pictures yet Edited July 2, 2018 by willciviceg5
