Recce Draken question

Did the S35E and/or the RF-35 Draken(s) ever carry air to air missiles?

If so, what type and where were they carried.

Larry check out the manual here:

http://www.avialogs.com/index.php/en/aircraft/sweden/saab/j-35draken/hflv-685-121-flight-manual-f-rf-tf-35-draken.html

Section IV deals with weapons and Section VII is the camera equipment and it mentions weapons delivery can be done with the RF version so it is possible missiles could be carried.

Jari,

Thanks for that link, really good info in that manual, even if I can't see a hi-res copy of it. I may have to see what it costs to join Avialogs, to see if it's worth it, to download that manual.

A short answer is:

-S 35E never carried missiles and had no guns.
-RF-35 often carried missiles as well as other load. I also had two guns.

Thanks for that info. I have 2 Draken kits, the fighter version and the recce version. The recce version has parts for both the S35E and the RF-35, so I can cross-kit to make both aircraft.
