Spitfire MK.XIVc Academy 1/72

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, this model was started years ago and at that time I was thinking about an aluminium belgian aircraft.

When I moved I had to stop this project.

So I had decided to finish this model a few days ago but doing another scheme. I choose to represent the aircraf just bellow:

I will use decals from the very well done Syhart decal sheet.

To improve the model I will use a Quickboost propeller

Based on the Eduard kit I created from scratch some new parts for my academy model. The seat is from Quickboost.

Landing gear parts were also improved using PE parts and thin wire

Propeller blades were painted using MRP paints.

I will try for the first time the HATAKA paints.

I started painting the SKY type S on the fuselage and then I applied the interior green from AK.

To follow the MSG was applied

Watching with interest, I have that decal sheet & several Belgian Spitfires planned for "one day" when I'm allowed to model again. :(  I can see some skillful modelling on display here.

This tread ticks so many boxes.  I actually did a model of the same spitfire using the same decal sheet, but using the old Frog kit, the academy spitfire i build a very long time ago. looking good so far!!
