Huub vD
My most reliable source confirmed 1/48 but there are also rumours that it is 1/32. We will hear the outcome very soon!!! Edited January 1, 2017 by Huub vD

VMA131Marine
Now that's news! What variant, one wonders? Hopefully it will be tooled to allow everything from a flat-tailed Mk.I up through the thimble-nosed TF.X with the fin fillet. Although, if anything gets left out it will be the Mk.II.
colin ritchie
very much the right scale, for me , and the small band of die hard 1/32 builders ANY new British twin is a blessing .. there are new excellent Beaufighters in every scale but 32nd .. so if this is a real kit , then 2017 will be starting off perfectly A strike wing TFX would look soooo good next to a 14r3 Sq Mosquit0 Edited December 30, 2016 by colin ritchie

IrishKiwi
I agree with these comments. A new Beaufighter TF Mk.X in both the standard and thimble nose options would be great. Being an RNZAF modeller, the ability to do both options for 489 Squadron is a welcome opportunity, especially, as the present option details a detailed interior even if you can find one to buy. I hope the aftermarket people are also reading this.

Never could understand why some folks get obsessive about scale and refuse to buy a kit just because it is not "their" scale!! If you like the subject, then buy it, build it, enjoy it! Not referring to you specifically by the way. Just talking generally. I guess a lot of it of course is done tongue in cheek. So, this is the "big" announcement then or, is the choice of subject a rumour also? Have to admit, I lost interest a bit when I saw the word Beaufighter but, what the hell! Sure it will be popular regardless of what I think. I built the old Revell 1/32 kit many years ago and scratch built an interior for it. Decent, if basic model. If nothing else and, based on their other kits, a 1/32 Beau will at least be very reasonably priced and, if to the same standard as their He-111 or, Ju-88, a real bargain. Stand by for a flood of "not another Beaufighter/boring WWII subject" or, "why do this THIS when modellers are screaming out for THAT!" or, "it's the "wrong" scale! (sorry - had to get that in again!) type comments tomorrow!. Guaranteed to please as many as it disappoints! Allan ps, Why, oh why did they do a Beau when what we REALLY need is a large scale Blenheim/Hampden/Beaufort/Fulmar/Firefly/Dornier Do17/217/215...............................!!!! pps - Actually, a Merlin engine Beau would be quite nice now that I come to think of it.....! fightersweep
Absolutely John! Why poor old Claude Dornier's slim line aircraft with a number somewhere between 16 and 18 is still being ignored is beyond me! Come on Revell, my He-111 and Ju-88 are getting lonely! 71chally
Funny the old scale thing, I'm not at all scale-centric and tend to buy on overall kit size, and even then I've added similar types in different scales. 1:32 Beau is pretty dandy for me and would be just the right finished size for the cabinet. This also directly replaces a 'classic' kit. Would be really great if it is engineered to cater for the various Mks
F4u
Would be nice to see a new tool 1/32 Beaufighter and as others have said hopefully you will have a choice of what mark you can model, my old MK1 could do with a companion on the shelf. Don149
1/32nd , please , my old hands can only cope with that scale . I remember the TT10s in Egypt and Malta . A Mk 6 or 10 would look just great along side the Tamiya Mosquito , Banff Strike Wing markings !, not forgetting the Tamiya Mustang in Polish markings from Peterhead , their escorts . On the shop floor , the Fisher/HK Models Meteor 7 .

Col.
Oi! You lot, stop moaning about wanting more Luftwaffe subjects, you've already got a heap. Us British aircraft fans need some good stuff to build as well you know
SeaVenom
There's already the nice Tamiya, Hasegawa and Airfix Beau's in 1/48 and 1/72 plus none of them are Mk1's. It's going to be disappointing now for those who want it in 1/32 as it sounds like it'll be 1/48. I wish they'd just announced the scale. The old Revell 1/32 kit was nice for it's era but it's long overdue a replacement.
