I ran out of time as I had to cook the tea. Tomorrow's a new day. A bit of touching up then finish everything off.

Coming together nicely, '825'. Have the wheels been 'muddied' or is that you just wearing the paint off wheeling these beauties around the table? Thinking of truck wheels, is anyone mad enough to put 'flats' on them like some do with aircraft tyres? Cheers. Mike

realistically I think you should - but speaking purely for myself - mine are only 'toys'.  I did experiment running a 1/48 Bedford MWD over a sanding block - because it had a 'wobble' on it...

...it stopped the wobble and certainly made the tyres look flat at the bottom - but there was no tyre 'bulge' - which I think is half the effect...

I pre-painted them on the sprue, so this is them after sanding the sprue gate and seam off.  They've been touched up now and I'll post new pictures later.

Wheels all tidied up. Now need matting down and the last wheel on the fire engine, and few details done and we're done.

Looking good - I think the crash tender looks much better in camo than the bright red that my kit suggested.  I kept all the bits I didn't use - I  winder if some would fir on the back of a CMP chassis - as I have 2 of these that I robbed all the bits from when cannibalising my K6's...

I'm rambling - but I know what I mean :mental:

Crew just about finished. Mind you every time I look at them again I find another bit of flash or an unpainted bit.

I have a busy couple of days coming up so it will be a day or two before the finished product(s) end up in the gallery.
