Broplan Vickers Varsity T.1

Hi All;

 

I'm in the market for a 1/72 Vickers Varsity, and at the moment, I'm leaning towards the Broplan vac form. I've got their Piper Navajo, and looks like a lovely kit in the packet, so I figure that the Varsity must be similar quality wise.

 

However, search as I may, I can't find any photos of what's in the box. Plenty of photos online of the box top, but nothing of the contents. Does anyone know where I could find some photos of the kit before I commit my cash? Be nice to have a look first.

I did see that thread, but frustratingly, the photos posted of the kit have been hijacked by Photobucket! Never seen the Aeroclub kit, but having the Anson C.19, I'd be happy to buy their Varsity if I could find one.

 

Edit: Maybe I'll try a shout out in the wanted section...never know!

I’m sure it was a Varsity at Duxford that caught my attention ears ago.  Always liked the look of them in RAF red & white.  Now a 1/48 Varsity would be something

The Aeroclub kit is very nice, I picked one up in the wanted section here for £60 around a year ago - after the sale I forgot to sign off on the post and was offered a few more around the £70 mark, so there are people on here willing to sell their Varsities. I’m afraid i’d need my arm twisting and about £100 chucked at me to start to convince me to sell mine, so i’m Afraid I can’t help, unless you happen to have an Aerodynamix Buccaneer or Aeroclub Vulcan I can part ex it for

Thanks for the reply! It's very helpful hearing opinions on the different Varsity kits and the Aeroclub kit seems to be getting a lot of love! There just seems to be a lack of info on the Broplan kit, but as I said above, their Navajo is a great kit which includes injection moulded parts.

 

I won't try to talk you out of your kit (promise), but I have stuck a plea in the wanted section, so hopefully some kind soul will take pity on me and take my money! It's for a collection I'm building at the moment, and it's pretty much the only aircraft I don't have (my first airshow being the theme). I'm hoping to build WJ945. Actually, I need a Fiat G.46 as well, but I'm going to try and kit bash one from a two seat Fiat G.55B
