Are there any books/articles on this type of vessel please, preferably with drawings?

I'm not up to date on what initial's stand for what ( I have no idea what MFP stand's for)

But, you may want to have a look at ...

I had no idea either but it stands for  Marinefahrprahm or Naval Ferry Barge....

Ahhhhh.....

That mean's the reference book I suggested is usless for this information. But it would be in Vol. One.

The book I suggested has a section on " Mine Barge's" and "Mine Tender's". Sorry.... my mistake.

It's still a good book to have handy. There's a "Treasure Trove " of information and drawing's in it. (Especially  U-Boat's . )
