OLD FUEL TRANSPORTER CONVERTED TO RC.

Recommended Posts

I have had this model a while and cannot remember the make or the ship but it is a kit.

It has been converted to RC with brass prop shaft and prop, micro servo and speed controller.

I have got rid of many models to make room for others but forgot about this, I then decided to have a goo look and see if she still floated and worked.

Did a tank test (bath) and all was well, no leaks. I then changed an old 40Mhz receiver to a 2.4 receiver and powered her up...SHE MOVED AND STEERED!

Needs ballast adjusting slightly, but here she is, my little RC fuel ship.

Very nice. I hope she sails in deeper water soon!

Thanks guys, I sail on a lake with my RC boat club so she may show her face, but she will have to go in when there is no wind and the big boys are not making washes and waves 😦

The island still uses flat bottomed tankers for fuel deliveries and yours looks spot on,google..

Sarnia Cherie.

Sarnia Liberty.

Edit: put tanker after the name...
