Damn, Tony! What a collection of Mustangs! I think you have enough escorts for that case of Airfix Mitchells you are building! Prolific AND proficient! I am jealous, my friend!

Very nice indeed - what shade of silver is that?

Thanks,.... it is Tamiya rattle can bare metal silver. The area around the exhaust was brushed using Humbrol Polished Aluminium which was buffed up.

A really fantastic collection Tony.  Please let me know which paint you use for natural metal.  It looks great.  I hope you'll do Dooleybird sometime.  My favourite Commonwealth Mustang.

Thanks. You got great coverage with it.  I really do like those Tamiya metallic paints.  I used the same on a 1/72 Airfix Mustang having tried, and failed, to get a nice even coat with brushed on Mr. Metalcolor paints, which I was hoping would be the Holy Grail (they weren't!) of natural metal finishes.  Funny you should say that about Dooleybird.  My sentiments exactly.  It looks much better with blue trim, in my opinion,  but the general consensus seems to be yellow so mine is on hold until I make my mind up.

Anyway, always a pleasure looking at your builds so please keep 'em coming.

No worries,.... Airfix are releasing the kit with markings for Dooleybird later in the year,.... so I might build it then,

Cheers

Tony, I believe you can build a model in the time it takes me to suss the instructions on most kits. I've said it before, so why not say it again - I always think the P-51D looks best in British/Commonwealth markings, although a very close second is the camouflaged Israeli bird.

I`m with you all the way when it comes to Commonwealth Mustangs Jason,..... but the Israeli one was very tempting too!!
