thevid
This is the classic F-4B kit from Revell which came out in the early 1960s. It is a basic kit but with normal building and painting techniques builds into a nice model. Kit box shown for reference.
huvut76g7gbbui7
It's good to see those old kits being built. Nicely done, thanks for showing it. As an aside,I built this version around 1965/66 (I think!)
Thud4444
This is one of the few places left on earth I still feel young. Great model from an ancient kit.

That looks like a Revell of England edition. I've never seen it in the states. Thanks.

Alpha Delta 210
Looks wonderful! Did the original decals survive the decades?

I remember building the VF-102 version some time in 66 or 67 just after my Dad had taken me to the Coltishall B of B airshow where I had first seen a Phantom - USAF version of course, but back then I had zero decal stash so had to use the kit decals. The box didn't have the original decals, so I used SuperScale marking which went on very well. Thanks.

You have turned it out really well and it is great to see an old kit being made as intended. 17 hours ago, Scimitar said: It's good to see those old kits being built. My attempt actually survived until fairly recently as I'd made it at my Aunt's who actually kept it (along with a Frog Bf109, Monogram B-58, the remains of a Matchbox Porsche 914 and a Kawasaki Mach 3 motorbike, the manufacturer I can't remember). It brought a tear or two to my eye when I found them while clearing her house after she had passed away I can tell you but at the same time it brought a smile to my face too.
