Alpha Delta 210
Hi After a misty and damp start, the weather improved with unbroken sunshine, which presented the usual Duxford problems of shooting into the sun in the early part of the afternoon. These are the best of a very poor batch of images, but I thought that I would post them anyway. In no particular order. Thanks for looking. 19 3 1
canberraman
Looks to have been a good event. I do like the Rafale special scheme. Great shots as always. Mark

Alpha Delta 210
Thanks for the "likes" and the comments chaps. I'm already back at Duxford for today's show. The weather is beautiful at the moment, but I think the challenges will be different today....💦

Alpha Delta 210
Thanks Mick. Despite what has been said on a certain other forum, I think that it was a balanced and varied show, but the RAF presence (in the form of the Chinook on Saturday only) was completely eclipsed by three participants from the French Air Force.
Alpha Delta 210
Fortunately, the thundery showers didn't materialise today, which meant that the light was a real challenge again. Thanks for looking. 7
Thud4444
I agree that Rafale is a looker. What is that long nosed sliver Swiss bird? I might be a weirdo, but of all the planes there; I'd want to see the Swordfish. I bet it sounded magnificent.
Alpha Delta 210
Hi Thud4444. The Swordfish did indeed sound wonderful. The Swiss aircraft is a Farner & Werke C-3606. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%2BW_C-3605

Latinbear
Those all look like pretty good images to me! I think my favourite is the head on shot of the Rafale.
Alpha Delta 210
Thanks for the kind words, Latinbear. The Rafale was the highlight for me, although I don't think the display was quite as exciting as last year, which was probably because it was one of the first displays for the new display pilot. The light at Duxford is so harsh for photography, compared to Old Warden which has become my favourite venue in recent years, not just from a photography point of view, but also due to the more reasonable pricing policy and relaxed atmosphere.
