Fin
I know that Airfix`s 1/72 Bristol Blenheim Mk.IF kit (04059) has an extra sprue (I think F), but can anyone confirm that all the other sprues (including the clear parts) from the Bristol Blenheim Mk.I Bomber kit (04016) are included without any alternation in the IF kit too? I`d like to build an Mk.I bomber and for some reason the 04016 kit is hard to find these days. The decals do not really matter as I`m gonna use aftermarkets for that so I was considering starting with the IF kit.
Rabbit Leader
Fin, I'm pretty sure you will be ok with using the Blenheim If kit as a straight bomber. As you say, the fighter version comes with the extra sprue, whereas the bomber version is the same just without this 'fighter sprure'. I do not have the fighter kit, however here is a link which shows the fighter sprue images. https://www.super-hobby.com/products/Bristol-Blenheim-Mk-IF.html Cheers... Graham Boak
I've done (well, nearly done) a Blenheim Mk.IV bomber from the fighter kit, so I don't see why it wouldn't work for the Mk.I too.
Chuck1945
Yup the 'fighter' sprue with the gun packs for both the If and IVf (and decal choice) is the only difference Edited May 22, 2018 by Chuck1945
