While working on Academy F-18F 1/72 I'm posting pictures of few months old build of F-101B Voodoo (Revell kit 04854, mold from '91). OOB build, Vallejo acrylic paints.

Great Voodoo! Her elegant lines still shine through, in spite of te fact that she's apparently been a hard-working girl. Excellent, believable weathering, to my eyes!

Kind regards,

Joachim

Perfectly looking preshading effect. Like it a lot!

Any advise on building process? I'm working on the same kit right now (although mine would be with maple leaves).

This is actually a nice kit of this beautiful plane. I don't remember any major issues with fitting parts. Yes, some filling and sanding was required as with most kits. Rotating weapons bay door can be tricky and requires good fitting of fuselage but can be done.  That's all I can remember at this point. I really need to keep notes when working. :)

A superb looking Voodoo.  I particularly like the metal finish to the engines.  Very convincing.
