Jason
After going to the Odeon Last week to watch the Film and explaining to my 10yr old twins about the the Dambusters , one of them said let's build a jet and paint it as a Dambusters Lancaster!! So here it is...a mix of Decals and we really had fun doing this... And as I post...Bobby is flying it out the back looking for a dam..and Harry is behind him with Iron man trying to protect him !!! 32
arbrownra
Fantastic idea - looks good in that scheme too. Which kit is it?

goggsy
Fair one- I’m surprised they never did this actually. It looks great and you’ve made a good job of it. 1
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Nice looking Tornado 👍 Normally not a huge fan of the type, but they do look good in the WW2 Colors.
stevej60
Superb idea, look's great they should have done it for real!
NealParkes
It is a pity that 617sqn is stood down at present as that would look awesome in real life.
IanC
Love it. I'd have done the mighty fin in camo too, but it looks great regardless.

Simon382
The Tonka looks great! Ever thought of sending a pic to the MoD/RAF? Would make a stunning retirement scheme for the real thing 1
Jason
Thanks for all your kind comments. Will miss the Tonka's when they retire later this year

Would make a stunning retirement scheme for the real thing The issue is that 617sqn has stopped flying the Tornado, it is about to become the first operational squadron for the F-35 in the RAF. Although I do fancy seeing a F-35 in a similar scheme in the future.
Simon382
Understand 617 has gone F35 but, when the Tonka fleet departs our skies, surely such an impotant machine could be painted in all the old squadron colours of those that flew them???
