Hardtarget
I shall start off with this unusual aircraft that operated from Italy on anti shipping strikes. Unfortunately she wasn't very successful and incurred great losses before moving to Germany. Edited August 26, 2018 by Hardtarget

Hardtarget
Ok, lets get started shall we? Box DSC_0035 by stuart wellard, on Flickr]# Bits in box DSC_0036 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Short run kit with very fine panel lines that may not uphold some paint especially on the fuselage. Wings seem to be a little deeper so we shall see. DSC_0037 by stuart wellard, on Flickr DSC_0038 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Flash as expected DSC_0039 by stuart wellard, on Flickr DSC_0040 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Resin which there is a lot, decals and clear parts which seem to be universal to the other P.108 boxing i have and evidence being the clear part nose which isnt required for the anti-shipping variant. DSC_0041 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Step 1 Cockpit area DSC_0042 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Mixed media cockpit assembled. DSC_0043 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Airburshed using AV Verde Claro Chromo DSC_0044 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Whilst that was drying i set about the turrets on the wings which were resin inserts. DSC_0045 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Fuselage was painted in the same interior colour. Main bulkheads and win spar were fitted. The main spar required a little bit of fettling. DSC_0046 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Wing Halves were cemented together using Tamiya Cement. There is a resin bulkhead for the wheel wells which fitted to a top bulkhead and slotted/fitted to the leading edge of the wing at the nacelle join. I actually pushed the flat section ito the wing nacelle and then cemented it in place once the main nacelle was cemented in place via the wing root gap rather than try and get a good fit on the leading edge and risk the nacelle not fitting to the wing. DSC_0047 by stuart wellard, on Flickr That method seemed to work well then it was onto the engine mounts. DSC_0048 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Underside view of the wheel well/nacelle. Hopefully you can see the top bulkhead 'floating' inside the wheel well which is cemented to the inside of the wing leading edge. DSC_0049 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Back to the cockpit where colour was added and a little weathering. DSC_0050 by stuart wellard, on Flickr CP detail not showing up in this phot well but its there. DSC_0051 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Pit in place and looking ready for closing up. Remember to remove the large ejector pins. DSC_0052 by stuart wellard, on Flickr A bit of persuasion is required but it fits. There will be a little bit of sanding and filling required. Hardtarget
With the fuselage set wings were attached. Now there is a bit of work here as the wing spars are too deep in height so they need to be reduced to enable the wing to slot over and sit flush at the wing root. If you dont the wing is raised above it. Not eht nose was also added at this point. Hardtarget
Ok its time for a well overdue update seeing that we are on the home straight. Where i left her, she needed some filling along the seems and at the wing root. I used Delux plastic putty for these naughty areas. DSC_0055 by stuart wellard, on Flickr She was then primed using stynlrez and then sprayed Aeromaster Verde Oliva Oscuro & Grigio Mimetico DSC_0019 by stuart wellard, on Flickr DSC_0020 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Whilst she was drying attention wad towards the props which consisted of individual blades and resin stubs. A Little tricky but go there in the end. Also the Resin MG's were removed from their blocks. DSC_0023 by stuart wellard, on Flickr The engines also received their resin exhaust stubs. Behind the nacelle there is a big void to you need to be careful not to loose the resin stack in the nacelle. Affixed using Cyno. DSC_0022 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Engines were cemented together and they consist of a rea engine mount with the cans molded to it and the nacelle was a two part construction. Resin air intakes top and bottom of the engine is also supplied which being very small tend to ping around the workbench. DSC_0021 by stuart wellard, on Flickr The engines where cemented to the main engine mounts, canopy was masked and sprayed, tail wheel (resin) glued and a few other little bits ready for a little weathering. DSC_0003 by stuart wellard, on Flickr I then applied water colour pencils of various shades to panel lines. DSC_0013 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Sitting awaiting decals. DSC_0014 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Decals applied DSC_0015 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Ive now applied a Flory brown earth wash overall., A coat of Vallejo Polyurethane flat varnish to seal it all in. Some exhaust staining via AK's Extreme Metal Metallic smoke finished her off. Photo reveal photos shortly.
