Darby
...steal the Wrens nutty; now look what you've unleashed!' Just a bit of irreverence using a simple base and Zvezda's 1/35 Soviet Naval Infantry. Some outdoor and indoor shots. T-shirts and collar stripes were a bit of a 'divil' to paint but had fun along the way. I think one of them looks a bit like Lenin. And some of the hands look huge. Anyway, here they be. 13
Gorby
Very nicely painted figures. The view from above is very effective. Out of interest, why do the bods with the stripy shirts, have what appears to be gags in their mouths?
spaddad
Tasty, like the mix of weapons, especially the bloke about to launch the mega grenade.

The bloke with the rifle has them streaming behind him. No idea why they have them in their mouth though. It was as per box art/moulding. Probably taste better than Soviet scran though. 1
Vince1159
Nice job Darby,it reminds me of the Odessa Steps scene from Battleship Potemkin (although you'd need a few more figures and steps)... Edited May 19, 2018 by Vince1159

Nice dio though, very droll. As Lenin once said, “I am the egg man, I am the walrus, goo goo ba joob” 1
PlaStix
Another lovely action vignette. Very nicely staged too. Very well done. Kind regards, Stix
Badder
Splendid work Darby. I don't envy you painting those stripes! A thought about the holding of the ribbons in their mouths. May I suggest that they were in effect 'kissing' the ribbons, permanently, for luck, and not sucking on soaked-in vodka?
