Eduard 1/48 Mirage IIIC

Recommended Posts

Following quickly on the heels of the Albatross, another silver effort. This time Eduard 1/48 Mirage IIIC Weekend edition. Lovely kit that goes together very well. Nice decals as well but I used Berna decals to finish the kit in the markings of "2-EG" EC1/2 'Cigognes' at Dijon in 1967 that appeared the French TV series 'les Chevaliers du Ciel' or "The Aeronauts" as we knew it

A beautiful Mirage.  One of the nicest looking jet fighters of all time in my view.  You've certainly done justice to its sleek lines.

Ah yes,  Remember the Aeronauts well.  It was my favourite telly show at the time and probably why I like the Mirage III so much. I still have the BBC published 1974 annual.  Pity the BBC destroyed all their copies although the original French language versions are available on You Tube.  An interesting bit of trivia is that the English language theme tune that went something like 'Fly in the wind boys you'd better given because your troubles begin with the crime fighting aeronauts' (or words to that affect) was written and performed by Rick Jones, better known as Yoffy from Fingermouse.
