1/32 Tamiya F-16C 555FS 'Triple Nickel'

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

This was originally intended to be a build log of this gorgeous kit but unfortunately I never got round to taking any pictures after the early stages!

So instead, here are the finished photos of this commission build, done as a Block 40 Falcon in the colours of the 555FS based in Aviano, Italy around the time of Operation Allied Force in 1999. The model is the Tamiya F-16C kit with some odd additions from the Academy kit, Aires, AstraDecals, Eduard and my scratchbuilding efforts. Enjoy !

Thanks for looking!

Superb result from a fantastic kit, love the engine

Thanks very much, I agree that it's one of the best kits I've ever built. I thought the hype about Tamiya was just trendy fanboy love, but there's definitely substance to the adulation!

If I could just afford a few more...😂

Cheers,

Alan

There`s a reason why the F-16 is so beautiful and this presentation is one of the reasons why.

Very nice Allen!!!!! 👍

Thanks Keg! I built five of these the last two years for commissions and the shape really grew on me. Up to then I wasn't really a fan but these days I'd very much agree with you!
