Joining you with this Liberator.

For which I've acquired decals for 2 of the dwarf aircraft, that participated in the Ploetsi raid.

Desert scheme, I'm not full certain which aircraft I'll build yet.

Here are the parts.

This one cost me £10 at Yate in 2010. It was still bagged, but as you can see - I've started the interior decorating.

Struggling with posting again.

The build is progressing, and I'm keeping photos.

In the meantime here are my other Academy/Minicraft Liberators.

Tim, you`ve misspelled the name of the city. It`s not "Ploetsi", it`s Ploiești:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ploiești

Btw, if you`re a Liberator enthusiast you could actually make one in Romanian markings. Check the photo at the end of this post:

https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235036577-illustrated-history-of-romanian-aeronautics-1909-1948-book-review/

After Tidal Wave there was no shortage of B-24s crashed in Romania and one was repaired using parts from the others and brought back to fly-worthy condition. It was damaged in an USAAF raid in may 1944 and finally destroyed by the Luftwaffe on 25 August 1944.

I have just found out that I had a distant relative killed in a Liberator crash 15.11.43.  53 Squdron RAF Liberator GRV BZ817/L crashed on take off from RAF Beaulieu killing all on board.

It's not an aircraft I had not considered making a Liberator before but thought it might make an interesting  model (although not in my normal theme) so I looked what was available.

Eduard 1/72 for a Liberator GRV but it's about £100 and Hasegawa GRIII/V at £70ish which I think is a bit pricey.

So I suppose the option is the get a D model and convert....

Good to see that it's generating the right sort of interest.
