BS103
Hello Dears, That's my first post on BM, I'll say Hello to the @Martian Hale It's a fonderie kit I make it with parts from a Sanger Halifax, mating the 2 is not easy at all ! Even having the 2 BANANAS half fuselages together is a mess !! Load of plasticard, CA glue, putty and resin and yes !! Sanding and engraving then Lots of work on the internals too, almost scratched since the fitting is Hem ! Then came the nose !! Lots of adventures !! tried the 3D printer, wood carving, resin and so on to get back to basics !! And the wings... Pretty funny !! I also detailled the Wheel wells Not finished yet ! Still there is some sanding ahead ! Once again the tail is a mixed thing from Sanger, Fonderie and plasticard !! I hope that you will enjoy the thread, comments are welcomed Best regards ! corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Yesterday, coming back from Germany (once again) I paid a visit to my friend BS103 !! And here's what I have to share with his kind permission ! First… Let's have a look at the Mancave !! That's posh is'nt it ?? As one can see, the Halifax is "Still going strong" The helmet are authentic, since Pierre has participated in historical researches about the 99th U.S Div ! Now the Halifax ! Giving some insight of how this kit is a pure Hybrid !! Aaaand the last one ! @general melchett Hope that you'll enjoy this one too With such builds, one need a Mojo restorer from time to time A Spitfire Mk VII... Or this (I forget the name, sorry ) But then !! If you are a maniac with the Aircrafts… Why not carryin' on with tracked and wheelie things !! Another nice piece of british engineering And one of the Funnies !! Last but not least, this one is almost ??? finished ! Yes, there is also a Panther in the way !! Ok Dears, Pierre will be back soon on BM ! Hope that Our Dear @Martian Hale will enjoy the progress on this Fonderie kit ! Sincerely. CC
general melchett
Good start Pierre, nice to see an early 1/48th Halibag for a change. Looks like it's coming along nicely old sausage/Bratwurst. Thanks to CC I see you have a Battle on the go too, mine's stalled at the moment but will be raised from the dead at some point soon. How's the Hampden coming on? Great Mancave! Melchie...
Mancunian airman
That Halibag looks like it has been recovered from some lake and is under going a restoration. Great effort there and I wish you luck in completing what is an usual early Mk.

dogsbody
The Hally is looking good. Not wanting to urinate on his parade, but it looks like he's got the prop pitch the wrong way around. Chris

As it is parts from another kit, I posed it with needles, so they can move, Thank for the comments. Sincerely. Pierre
Graham Boak
Good luck to you with this one, it looks as though you are making a good job of it. Excuse pedantry, but the version you are doing is a Mk.II series 1 (Special). I don't think that any of the handful of Mk.1s were ever so modified.
