modelling minion
As promised here are some pictures of how she looks now, in some nice early morning sunshine! Here's an over all shot of the top surfaces; And some closer shots of the weathered whitewash showing some general weathering that I have also done; You can see the green discs surrounding the red stars where the original US markings were overpainted, just. I have finished off the undersides and added the wheels and I'm pleased to say that so far she isn't a tail sitter, although I have yet to finish and install the upper turret. Need to crack on with the props and upper turret and a few other bits. Thanks for looking in. Craig.

Nearly finished her, just the aerial wires to do and she's done, hopefully tomorrow evening.

modelling minion
As promised here are the pics of the finished B-25 taken in the sunshine in the back garden and I had to be quick before she started to wilt, it really is that hot! There are quite a lot of pictures so I'm sorry if this takes you a while to trawl through. And that's that! A big thank you to all who have popped along and shown interest and given encouragement and especially to our host @Skids for organising it in the first place. I have really enjoyed building this kit and seeing all the other great builds in the GB come together, with special mention going to @tonyot for building around half of them!! Well done Tony, not jealous of your build rate at all! And another extra big thank you to my good friend Sasha for sending me the decals I needed as without his generosity this build would not have taken place, thanks mate. As usual all comments and criticisms are gratefully received, now to try and pick 6 pictures for the gallery! Craig.
PlaStix
Really great job Craig! That looks like the real thing! You have really developed the whitewash technique superbly. With a more natural background and in black and white - I reckon we'd be hard pressed to know whether it was the model or an actual whitewashed B-25. Kind regards, Stix
modelling minion
Cheers Stix, you are (as always) too kind. I will have a go at a diorama for her soon so when I do I'll try and take some realistic looking pictures.

Hewy
I like it craig, did you use pastels for the weathering on the white wash? And if i may I've got a rigging job on the horizon, what did you use for the airiel cables, they look spot on, all around top job The painting on the Canopy framing looks ace too Edited June 30, 2018 by Hewy

The whitewash was done by using a paint by Mig products, it comes in a set they do for wartime Soviet armour and I think its called white distemper. I apply it using a small flat brush which hopefully gives a scale effect of using a broom to apply it, I apply between 2 and 3 coats to give some variation and then when its dry I use damp micromesh and GENTLY rub it down and gives the effect you see above. The aerial cables come courtesy of my wife's head as it is made from one of her hairs, I must add for my own safety at this point that I have to paint it the metallic colour! The canopy framing was through the use of an Eduard pre-cut set and I cannot recommend it strongly enough as it made the job so much easier than it would have been. Thanks again for your kind comments mate.

Sgt.Squarehead
Outstanding work, the faded whitewash is very convincing indeed.
stevehnz
That's a bit nice that is. I'm not a huge fan of winter camo'd aircraft, the white can make them boring to my mind but there's nothing boring the way you've done that, its a stunna. Don't know that I deserve to win at all, there are some excellent B-25's in the gallery, not least of which are your builds. And you certainly deserve an award for the highest proportion of builds in a GB gallery! Keep up your great and prodigious builds mate.
