Instructions for voting in the poll: The aim is to pick Just One Build out of these more than 50 finished and shown in the Gallery. Unfortunately the forum settings don´t allow more than 25 options per question, so the entrants must be split to several groups with max 24 build options and the 25th for "none in this section"- option. Now this should be quite simple, right? Say you like the build number #70 the most and would like to vote for it. In that case you vote for #25 (none in the first 24 builds) AND vote for #50 (none in options 26...49) AND for the #70, your actual favorite build. Every member should cast (inthe MTO II GB) poll 3 votes, of which 2 votes should go to "None of the 24 (or less) builds in this section" and only 1 vote for your most liked build. Have you done that? Great. Have you done it any other way? Please go and fix your vote!

Post your completed builds here. No more than five photos per entry.

Please do not post comments in this thread. All comments should go in the subject's build thread

Hiya Folks,.... well I`ll kick off with this captured Junkers Ju52/3m, built using the 1/72nd Italeri kit and made to represent an aircraft used as a hack and transport by the Tomahawk and Kittyhawk equipped l450 Sqn. Royal Australian Air Force in the Western Desert. The model was brush painted in standard British desert colours on the uppers using Humbrol Enamel Middle Stone and Polly Scale acrylic Dark Earth with the original Luftwaffe undersides painted using Aeromaster RLM Lichblau, with white theatre marking wing tips. The undercarriage was painted using Aeromaster RLM Black Green. Photo`s of the original aeroplane and the model under conStruction can be seen here in the WIP;

And here is the model;

Hiya Folks,...... here is my 1/72nd scale Airfix Hurricane Mk.I, converted to a later `metal wing' variant using the Alley Cat conversion and with a tropical filter from Freightdog Models. The model represents one of the aircraft from 33 Sqn RAF which fought over Greece in 1941 against overwhelming odds. Here is the WIP which includes photos of the real thing,.... edit,.... I have added some new  photos here!;

And here is the model, which was brush painted;

Hiya Folks,...me again!!

                                  Here is my 1/48th Airfix Spitfire Mk.Vb, converted into a Mk.Vc using the Alley Cat resin conversion. It represents an aircraft from 336 (Greek) Sqn operating from Italy as part of the Balkan Air Force in 1944,.... prior to re deploying to Greece. The RAF C1 Tpe roundels and fin flash were converted into Greek colours and as you can see it also sports a large shark mouth! There were some problems with the decals, which can be seen in the WIP here, which also includes a photo of the real aircraft;

The model was brush painted and here is the finished thing;

Hiya Folks,....yes,..me again!!

                                        Here is another entry,..... this time the new Airfix Blenheim Mk.IV, wearing the markings of the Free French Group de Bombardment 1 "Lorraine", based in Syria and the Western Desert during 1941-42. The cross of Lorraine is often depicted as being red on models, but thankfully Airfix have also supplied the correct blue style on the decal sheet too,..... red crosses were not worn as they could easily be misidentified as ambulance aircraft by the enemy!

The model was brush painted as usual and here is the WIP;

Hiya Folks,.... yes I know,.....I`m far too keen!!

                                                              Well,..... here is the Airfix Tomahawk Mk.IIb, I was tempted by the lovely box art and decals which depict an aircraft from 73 Sqn based at El Gamil (the scene of the British parachute drop during the 1956 Suez operation) in Egypt during 1941. This airfield guards the Mediterranean approaches to the Suez Canal. I have built quite  few of these kits now and they are very nice indeed.

Again the model was brush painted and here is the WIP with a photo of the rel aircraft too;

Hiya Folks,..... shifts uncomfortably,...... here is another one finished! This is the excellent new Airfix 1/48th scale P-51D Mustang kit, converted to a P-51K by the addition of a set of left over Hasegawa propeller blades and wearing the markings of 3 Sqn RAAF in Italy during 1944. It was finished using Tamiya rattle can Bare Metal Silver. Here is the WIP with photos of the real aircraft;

Hiya Folks,... this is a 1/48th scale Special Hobby Spitfire Mk.Vc wearing the markings of 451 Sqn RAAF from the Red Roo decal sheet, although I have elected to replace the recommended Dark Earth and Dark Green scheme with Extra Dark Sea Grey and Dark Slate Grey using photographic references (see WIP) and also the fact that the unit was flying from North African airfields on coastal and convoy patrol duties and other fighter units, including those in Malta were also wearing this scheme at this time, as were other coastal patrol units which repainted their Marauder`s, Ventura`s and Baltimore`s into the same scheme too.  The model is brush painted,..... the DSG and Aure Blue are acrylics from Polly Scale and the EDSG is also acrylic, from Hobby Colour.

Here is the WIP;

Hiya Folks,

                Not exactly MTO WW2,..... so not included in the GB,...... but as this model was built alongside one of the others I have added it here in case anybody who was interested in it wanted to see it finished! This is the 1/72nd Airfix Spitfire Mk.I,.... converted into a Mk.Vc using parts from the spares box such as a Tamiya propeller, AZ Model exhausts, Italeri Aboukir filter, Eduard cannon barrels etc. It is finished as a machine  flown by the Greek Air Force just after the end of WW2 and wearing the markings and initals (in RAF practice) of a Wing Commander. Here is the WIP;

My.first finished build is of a Hawker Hurricane Mk1 Trop of the Royal Navy Fighter Squadron as flown by Sub-lieutenant Michael Fell.

It's the old 1/72 Airfix Hurricane suitably adapted with an Airfix Spitfire spinner and propeller and, a Voles filter from a Revell Hurricane II.

Brush painted with Colourcoats and Humbrol enamels. Transfers from the Xtradecals Fighters over Africa and the Mediterranean sheet. Finished with W&N matt varnish.
