Popular Post David Lengyel
Hello, I have finished this little bird from the Trumpeter kit with some aftermarket from Eduard, Master and my own design. The real bird flew for 18 months in East Germany Air Force service until reunion of Germany. It was the only airframe ever pictured with missiles during the service in LSK-NVA. Red 661 was then borrowed to US Air Force for comprehensive tests and returned back to Germany two years later. Aircraft was sold to Poland for 1 Euro in 2003. I hope you like the result, and I also welcome your feedback. The first and the last fighter jets in service of LSK-NVA: MiG-15bis (1956) and MiG-29A (1990). My collection of LSK-NVA jets so far. 90
Howard Moon
Outstanding work and the base is excellent too, it really sets it off. What brand of paints did you use? Howard

The display base is not a work of mine, but my dear friend slava_trudu.
Alpha Delta 210
Fantastic result with realistic-looking weathering. It looks great displayed on the vignette. Thanks also for the interesting history of the airframe.

Spitfire31
So, the real plane was sold for a fraction of the cost of the kit? I'll try to get my head around that… Superb modelling. It looks just 'right' – can't think of a higher praise than that. Kind regards, Joachim
Lightningboy2000
Superb end result with your MiG-29 love the deep color finish and the details. Your weathering is very nice. I have also built this but decided to scratch the upper intakes closed. Did you use a resin set for the upper intake doors? Martin

David Lengyel
Thank you very much gentlemen! 8 hours ago, Spitfire31 said: So, the real plane was sold for a fraction of the cost of the kit? Haha, yeah! It never occurred to me though. 6 hours ago, Lightningboy2000 said: I have also built this but decided to scratch the upper intakes closed. Did you use a resin set for the upper intake doors? I have used the Attack Squadron resin indeed. But given the fact I have scratch building the whole surroundings, it was kind of worthless because all the panel lines were lost and I had to rescribe the whole thing.

I naturally assumed that the above is an excellent build of Trumpeter's 1:32 MiG-29! IF it really is 1:72, I think I'd better take up knitting… Kind regards, Joachim
