That blue is really eye-catching, love the shade. Must try and find a colourful kit someday. Feels like everything is grey, with a dab of grey green for a bit of variety. Oh yeah, that'll be 'cause I do ww2 ships and FAA birds... Geoff Thanks lads, the wings need a slight polish up first , then another coat of GBB. The Blue was the closest match for the Revell call out Geoff. Hopefully all will be revealed once I lay down the Alcad lacquers , various shades. Spookytooth
Hi folks, time for a quick update. Out with the Alcad lacquers today but first a rub down of the wings and a second coat of GBB. While that is dry for today I attack some of the other bits with ... Alcad Aluminium. Next Alcad Polished Aluminium. Before the rockets were given a coat of Alcad Airframe Aluminium. It may not be right , but this is a test for future builds. Anyhow, time for a cuppa now. Spookytooth
Thanks @giemme, @bbudde, and @Bugle07. I am getting there, slowly. Update. GBB applied to the undersides. That cowling, looked nice until I removed the tape. Nothing that a bit of TLC can sort out later, I need to leave the Alcad to harden properly . U/C doors varnish, read for decals , yep on the doors!!! Drop Tanks and pylons too. And the prop had some XF 3 added to the tips. And that is about it for now. The GBB has to be left until it`s fully dried, and with not a lot else to do for now, I going for another cuppa. All comments welcome. giemme
Shiny! Too bad for the engine cowling, but I'm confident you'll sort it Ciao

Spookytooth
Thanks @giemme, @corsaircorp, @bbudde, @Bugle07, getting there slowly as they say. I have been busy with the normal things in life but got this done lunchtime. XF 16 spray on the control surfaces. Allow to dry overnight before masking then attacking it with some Alcad. The prop got a coat of X 18 to while I was there. Patchy I know but what the heck, they got a lot of abuse... All comments welcome. Spookytooth
Well folks, a little more done this lunchtime. Flaps masked up. Before giving her a coat of Alcad Polished Aluminium all over. I am going to leave her to dry for the rest of the day, before adding some Alcad Aluminium in patches over various areas of high wear. All comments welcome. Simon.

Spookytooth
Thanks @giemme, shiny yes but..... Today I removed the masking, and here are the results, good but not so good I suppose. The rudder/fin I can live with but the "Blue/Black on the tail planes will have to be redone , also the blue on the top of the fin. Ah well, more masking and spraying, but getting there. JosephLalor
Just arrived on this one myself and will be following with interest. I've had the main airframe components together on this kit for over 10 years but had stalled. I think I need to do some shimming where the flaps meet the ailerons. and I've a main undercarriage leg to reattach as well. Looking forward to the result of your labours.
