Drop tank pylons etc. Pylons drilled underneath for ease of spraying(cocktail stick). There is a gap on one of them I have to sort out before any further work is done, i.e. the sway brace locating holes. The tanks themselves are OK and ready for priming. The rockets were cleaned of ejector marks and ready for painting too. I hope to post some more pics tomorrow, hopefully. All comments welcome. Right, I know I said that I would post the next day but life got in the way, picked up a chest infection, fun anti biotics again. Any how, things are looking good for major construction soon. Dry fitted the wings to the fuselage, not a good fit, probably need shimming and filling, oh bum. Gun sight cleaned up and test fitted, looks fragile, so will leave off until ready for priming. Added a bar across the cockpit tub bottom , something I can wedge a length of sprue against. Good old Revell contacta. Also I noticed that one of the pylons was not glued thoroughly. TET used, sorry about the blurred pic. Just a case now of checking what has been assembled for fit. The start glueing I suppose. All comments welcome. Not to bad a fit , although a bit by my thumb will need attention. Horrid!!!!!!. Definitely needs work. But from head on there will be a reduction in the gap once the dihedral is right Both legs show that a degree or more straighter and gap closes. And finally the pylon. A little clean up and they will be ready for priming etc. Morning up date over, time for some brunch soon. All comments welcome. Simon , a bit hungry.
bbudde
Hello Simon . Looks good so far. Is Revell the Monogram-Pro Modeller moulding? The older Monogram had no recessed panel lines as far as I remember. And yes it's a big one. I was surprised how big the 1:72 Revell is compared to a Mustang, Spitfire or Me109 etc. Have a nice Brunch. Cheers Benedikt

Nothing flash for brunch, toast and Marmite (have to watch the waist line) But Chicken Tikka Massala and rice for tea tonight Ha Ha. Cheers John Biggles87. Update 2 Fixing the tub into the fuselage. The tool;s for the job. In place. Stay there. Now leave to set before adding extra support. All comments welcome. Simon.
Spookytooth
Update 3. The guns? Good side. Bad side. And the same below. Bad side. Good side. Well a little work there, once they have set. That`s about it for the wings, apart from the wing tip lights of course. All comments welcome. Simon.

Added filler and sanded back. Then brushed some filler/primer on. Leave to dry then sand again. The cockpit tub stayed in place but out line so slightly, bummer, but that is it. Will wedge some Blu Tac in there for surety. All comments welcome. Simon.

Food (as always) at Southsea Beach cafe was excellent but view of beach ruined by rain, bah. The Jug is looking mighty as we say in Dublin town, don't complain about the guns, I just finished fiddling with 0.1/0.2/0.4mm tubing & rod for my FW190 quickie, would dream of something 1/48 sized to hang on to!! Cheers Anil Just read your build earlier Anil. Quite a nice build sir, great work with the mottling by air brush. Got the same kit in the stash, so will take note of the pit and cowling probs. Update 2. Sanded back the filler/primer and not too bad. A little tidy up here and there and done, I would say. All comments welcome. Shalako
I think the guns need some trimming Simon. Have you checked their length with photos? If not, then you can try primeportal.net Cheers Shalako

I trimmed one of the outer guns, and nigh on b******d it. It`s a lesson for the future. BTW, the guns are mounted inside shrouds, the scale bore should be about 0.3 mm. Thanks Tony, barrels are to long I know but cannot change that now, as for the tub, brute force and ignorance LOL. Update. Wings to fuselage.. As you saw earlier , a lot of work needed. Fixing the bottom bit first. I am leaving that to set. Then the next part takes part. Probably involving plastic card and swearing . Until then All comments welcome.
