HistoryNeedsYou
Third in our series of walkarounds of under appreciated gems is the mighty Argosy. This lorry of the skies resides at RAF Cosford in Shropshire. Lancs may have had rear machine guns but this aircraft trumps that with a 25 pounder! It would be great to know if anybody here used to work on them.
SAT69
When I was a kid, growing up in San Antonio, Texas, we used to see Argosy transports flown by a company called Riddle fly into and out of Kelly Air Force Base. I don't recall how long that lasted but remember the airplane because of its unique configuration.
