Reuhkapelti
Hello! This VW Beetle is built by using only the parts from the original box (Union Memorial Collections) that includes also 426 Hemi engine and other stuff. I used the big tires to give it some grip and from the part frames I built the turbo and all the intake/ exhaust systems. Only the blue decals are taken elsewhere. I cut them in several pieces to get them sit well around the Beetle body. Pink paint is from a rattle can, then added some clear varnish.

dnl42
Very nicely done! Is the prototype in your garage?
Rob G
Wow, turbo lag city! Good to see people escaping the mundane, well done sir! (May I suggest a set of wheelie bars to help keep the nose on the ground?)
Bigred
Very nice! Although I am biased being a massive VW fan...especially air cooled stuff!
Reuhkapelti
Thanks everybody! Unfortunately I don't have this kind (or any kind) of Beetle in my carage, as dnl42 asked for the prototype. Wheelie bars would be great (Rob G) but this box doesn't offer them at all. They would have to be built as scratch, as I want to keep this box stock. I think my interest is drifting already towards another project. Thanks for the tip though!
