Excellent upper surface finish, but most artworks of this commonly-depicted plane (including Japanese ones), show brown finish on these early Ki-44. Also, landing gear looks to be at full extension, which gives it a 'tip-toes' look.

Raising the standards of what can be done at 1/72 scale one model at a time!

 

I'd love to know how you attain such a high standard of weathering, I imagine it's a series of processes but the end result is as always simply stunning!

I used the original Nakajima Green color from Mr Hobby. And the brightness of the color is apparently associated with the technology of applying this particular coloration. It was necessary to not make a solid color, but an uneven coating.
