TheBaron Posted January 1, 2019 Share Posted January 1, 2019 Please let me know if somebody's posted this already and I'll remove it Martian, but I found this beautiful shot of G-AFDK in the IWM archives earlier: https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205210635 The lighting in that photo gives such a beautiful sense of the surface qualities that I thought it might be a useful reference regarding colour and texture (plus a nice Anson in the background). A slightly out-of-focus wider view: https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205210634 Interestingly the caption in that last photo mentions that 'Fortuna' crashed just down the road from me at what is now Shannon airport in Co. I have a pair of Albatri to build, and I'm more than grateful to learn painlessly about the pitfalls. Its all part of the fun. Take @general melchett for example, he's made an entire career out of weird thread drift and I'm not exactly innocent myself in that respect!
