Uncle Pete
Nice job. As a flier of R/C I have no interest in choppers at all but as a sticker of plastic I might just have to give one a whack!

Spitfire31
Superb modelling! It looks just 'right' for a working machine. Kind regards, Joachim
Jonners
Fantastic. I'm lucky enough to fly a modern helicopter that is just a teensy bit more complex than the HO3S/S-51/Dragonfly was, so it astonishes me what my forebears managed to do with these machines. Your model really looks the part: well-made and nicely finished with a real 'workhorse' appearance. Jon

CJP
Michael the more I look at your model the more I like it - you said it was medium difficulty - did you have to do much scratch building? - is the holder for the folded rotor blades and rotor hub detail included on the etch? CMSCHLOM
Love it! I actually got to see one of these fly into Ft. Rucker, AL, where it was to be donated to the Army Aviation Museum.

CJP In this model much has been done from scratch. 1) Shutters for cooling the reducer main rotor. 2) the winch has been modified 3) the blades of the main rotor are made in the folded position 4) the blade holder is assembled from brass, by soldering. Colin1967
Hi Michael, A fantastic build and I really like the weathering effect you have achieved overall, it just adds such a difference to the finished helicopter More please ! Colin.
Buzby061
Great work, I don't think I've seen one of those modelled before. I must admit, when I saw the title I thought "What the heck is a HO3S-1!" Now I know. Pete
