Tonka
What is the difference between these wheels ? Are they [A and B] for Revell and HB, or Italeri and Airfix ? Muzz
This has been discussed before and I can't remember the outcome which is obviously of no use. However from looking at the pics it could be as simple as tyre manufacturer detail! Dunlop for RAF aircraft (A) and (B) for other nations.
ModellerUK
@Tonka Different types of tyres but the same make I believe. If you look at the tread pattern of both mains one has 4 grooves and the other has 3. The Tornado uses two different types of main wheels 'Domestic' Usually used in the UK and 'Hot and High' usually used on ops. I am unsure as to which is which though. canberra kid
This is the only 'good' photo I can find of an Italian Tonk main wheel, this is the first production machine on Roll Out. John
