Here's a Short Stirling I completed a little while ago. It's the ancient Airfix kit upgraded with hard work.

Thats fantastic work, having just completed the same kit myself I can say you've done a superb job!

I can only see the first picture. Photobucket is doing the usual 3rd party blocking.

I've one of these stashed away at the bottom of a small pile of kits.

Seeing your model has made me realise that it is possible to turn those flash covered sprues into something worthwhile.

Now all I need is courage, time and maybe a glass or two of 'the favourite red' before opening the box again and having a go.

Somehow I don't think it will come out as well as yours.

That's a terrific looking Sterling.  You've certainly done a great job updating this old trooper.  Shows what can be done with some dedication and patience.

Another cracking Airfix Stirling. It shows what can be done with an old kit at the hands of a skilled modeller.

Superb!

I've always liked the Airfix Stirling, the box art has a lot to do with it!

You have done an outstanding piece of modelling there😀

Another Airfix Stirling, and beautifully built again!

As pointed out by another poster, the box art of the kit is fabulous (by Roy Cross?) and is among the finest aviation artworks.

Almost impossible to think of Airfix box art from that era that wasn't fully inspirational for buying and building a kit.

Congrats on the excellent build!
