spaddad
Tasty. How did you do in the contest?
DennisTheBear
That looks.......superb! A brilliant example of what can be done with old kits, by a modeller who is wonderfully skilled! DennisTheBear
FAAMAN
Just brilliant, even though the kit has those off shapes and proportions it still looks fantastic and is still an F-4, congrats on a great build and superb finish I'll echo the ". . . who needs the new Airfix offering?" comment
kapam
Still looks like a Phantom to me, regardless of any shape issues the kit likely has. Love the slightly weathered look and the nose-up stance (a pre-takeoff feature on UK Phantoms if I understand correctly?). Excellent build and a testament to your skills.

Serge Tkach
Thanks all for the comments! On 13.04.2018 at 03:40, spaddad said: How did you do in the contest? The model took the first place in the "Out of the box nomination". But the main goal was to show and prove (to myself mainly) that you get a presentable model just by neatly assembling and painting. Of course it's not the most accurate model, but it's an assembled model for sure. On 13.04.2018 at 06:15, kapam said: ... Mattlow
Very, very nice. I think I threw this kit together many years ago on a Saturday afternoon after buying it in Woolworth's that morning. Suffice to say that the finish fell WELL below (several kilometres) the quality you have achieved.. Matt
Marcin Wojciechowski
Very nice look. Superb work ! I like the old FROG and Hasegawa models. I was building a very similar Phantom but from the original Hasegawa kit - the FROG kit is a clone of it. I made my model in American painting.
