spruecutter96
Morning, All. Went to see Speilberg's new film yesterday.... Very well made, incredible special effects (clearly, there is NOTHING that can't be put in a film, now). I can't help feeling that it was essentially a kid's film trying to be an adult's movie (two or three scenes which are definitely not for younger kids and one use of bad language / many uses of a harsher term for "doo-doo"). The ending was sugary enough to give you Type II Diabetes, but this is a Speilberg movie, after all. Don't let my comments put you off seeing it - it's a movie designed to be seen on a huge screen, with the sound cranked up to 11. Anyone else seen it? Chris.
PZRGREN
I saw it last weekend and it was a really enjoyable movie, full of 80/90s music, tv, movie and game references. Roger.
The Chief Smeg
The book is excellent. Much better than his follow on called Armada (not as equal either, totally different)
LotusArenco
I have to admit that I squeaked like a little girl when I saw the RX-78 Gundam in the trailer. Definitely on my ‘watch list’. Mart 1
FG2Si
Saw it in IMAX earlier this week and really enjoyed it. There's a bunch of differences from the book but they made sense to me and I think it stands well on its own. Might have to pick it up on Blu-ray when it comes out to see/find all the '80s and' 90s bits that have been slipped in. Carl
TimMather
saw it last week, il be honest the whole movie just p'''sed me off. taking all the stuff i enjoyed in my childhood and stuffing it all together for fan service. take away all the stuff they ripped off from other properties and what are you left with? a D-grade advernture movie. Graeme H
I saw it last weekend, with my son and grandkids, really liked it. I never try to make too much out of these things, one can lose all the fun by overanalysing.
