I remember that I saw a think that open like an early mustang, but not quite sure and I did'nt remember where exactly in this greenhouse... I thank you beforehand ! I have not found a picture of the right side open only the left and top. Interestingly I took a still from a film of Fireflys Operation from HMS Indefatigable in April '45 and one of the Fireflys as it catches the arrester wire appears to have the top panel open. Thanks for this image. I have already cut my canopy with a razor saw (It was a bit long anyway) and it will be posed with the left side and top open. There is obviously some furniture to be scratched up on the canopy..

Then I also worked on the rocket launchers reinforcement plates, I suppose that the pic will show more precisely what I mean ! Now the green house... I read that the original AZ one did'nt fit, so I tested Aaaand !! If there is a problem, please inform me, that just look almost right ! As the pilot station will be open… As usual with me…. I will also open the Navigator desk too .. No jealous then … And I will use my Barracuda transparencies….🤔 Have a nice Sunday !! Full of styrene and whatever you want or need !! Sincerely. CC Not sure how nerdy you want to get but you see out on the wing by the Nav lights there is round ended rectangle engraved into the plastic. I think that is a hand hold. I have drilled mine through, I'm not sure if there is a cover over them but I have seen picture where you can see through.. 1

The starboard (or right hand side to you land lubbers) isn't hinged but is jettisonable by pulling a handle when its time to get out and walk. It would only ever be removed for maintenance purposes. 1
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I checked and yes it look like handles… Now given the weight of the firebox, you better do not try to handle her with one hand…. These things had mandraulic wing fold so instead of the more civilized moving a lever these were folded using the A frame, grunting and cuss words. 1

Steve, is your pet/private Firebox a Mk.4/5, or a 1? At what point did they introduce hydraulic fold?
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I read in some critics (books and web) that The transparencies are very hard to fit on the Firefly Mk I So I bought replacement ones, and now See….. WHERE IS THE 🤬🤬🤬 PROBLEM ???? So, I will use a part of it at least for the opening of the Nav… Hooops For the observer ! I primed the Barracuda spinner and propeller ! Because the one of GP/AZ effectively wrong, I will show it tomorrow if I thinh about ! Now gents, When the beast is looking that way….. it mean that the paint booth is not too far apart... The poor Starfire will once again be overpassed by a sailor's bird !! Oh the guns, did I have the replacement ones 🤔 Once this one is finished, I'll pay some attention to the Barracuda... Because my Tungsten Corsair is jealous !!! Have a great modelling time. And happy valentine day to all the lovers...and loved ones … And the observers too Sincerely. Ian Hello Ian With the razor airwaves saw, I started in the middle with the rounded nosed one Pass after passes 'til I get through the plastic, then I finished with the saw visible on the pic. A bit of cleaning with the Flex i files and that's done. Now, as I have a vac formed replacement canopy, I cut a little bit in the part that will be parted. I did'nt take no risks. Sincerely.
