- Hi  Soviet machines specialists

- My next soviet built will be the HPH resin 1/32 La-7; I've bought the six pack AKAN dedicated colors . the shade of the AMT 11 and AMT 12 for the upper surfaces looks very dark what do you think about this..,?

they were dark when new,  but seem to have faded quite fast

scroll down for colour shots of the Yak-3  at Le Bourget, plus links to various discussions on the colours.

there are these pages dedicated to the La-7

I used them for a 1/48 Yak-3 build. Although they did look pretty dark out of the bottle, I didn't lighten them. Once the whole paint job was done, they appeared lighter and IMHO quite satisfactory. Probably too dark for the scale effect guys, but I'm personally not much into that.

- She looks effectively good, I'm not very fan of scale effect as it is really difficult to appreciate to which extent the colors have to be lightened according to the scale of your model, I have better trying to give my models an operationnal look as much as possible.
