Excellent build.

As others have stated, the Airfix B-29 was an unattainable "holy grail" for people like me (who had limited pocket money).

At the age of about 10, I was able to vicariously experience the kit when the teenager up the street acquired one and hung the built-and-painted result from his bedroom ceiling.

On rare occasions, I got to visit his house and marvel at this huge model hanging above me.

After the neighbour left home to pursue a career, another friend acquired the model - a close up examination subsequently revealed that the builder's modelling talents were not quite what we had originally perceived.

Unquestionably though, the fabulous box art was one of the major selling point of the kit.

Well done on your fine build.

It's great to see such a cool conversion done to the Airfix B-29 B)B)

Right version to build a Silverplate program aircraft.

Another fave of mine, first built the Airfix kit in 1970 (?), a second around 1978 (both in 'silver' plastic), neither surviving and I've one in the stash (in grey plastic ) to do again as "Eddie Allen".

Nice build of an old kit, but (no criticism intended, each to their own etc) having visited Hiroshima twice, not a subject I would have in my collection.
