JOCKNEY

Smer 1/48 Macchi Castoldi MC72

Recommended Posts

This is Smer 1/48 scale Macchi Castoldi MC72.

This kit was completed as part of the recent Flying Boats and Floatplanes GB. The aircraft represented here is MM181, that went on to claim records for the fastest floatplane.

Work in progress here

I hope you like it

 cheers Pat

That's lovely Pat.

Nice job. Bit of a handful though, isn't it?

Its a really nice kit, apart from attaching the floats. The struts are not numbered or particularly obvious where the one you are holding should go. The attachment points on both the floats and underside of the aircraft are also very poorly marked if at all, so I resulted to going with what looked right in the end !

Hi Keith

Thanks for the kind comments.

Yes we are very lucky living up here, this is the view from the other side of the bridge in the last photo.

cheers Pat
