Colin W
With all that detail work in the cockpit I figured an open door to be essential. Colin

Colin W
Hi Chaps, Job is now done after a bit of a flurry over the last few days. The kit markings used for the roundels and serial numbers printed and applied in the usual manner. I swapped the kit wheels for these I found in the spares bin. I'm not sure where they came from but were the right dimensions and had the spokes which look better than the solid wheels. With a war on I figured these would be easier maintenance and they look a lot better. Carbane struts, elevator control lines and radio aerials added from fine lead wire. Other aerials from Eezie line. Main pictures in the gallery but here a few more. Colin Edited May 7, 2018 by Colin W Added more pictures

SoftScience
Wow! Just gorgeous. Prewar biplane, yellow, and great diorama setting. You checked off all three boxes for excellence
Colin W
Many thanks for your comments. I'm more of a jet man than biplane man but it was fun for a change. I really don't like rigging, even in this scale. The colour is MR Colour Character Yellow which is a deeper tone than plain yellow and closer to training command yellow. The camera is a bit confused by the last picture but the other pictures are closer to the real thing. Colin

stevehnz
Spotted this in the gallery, wow, if ever a subject made me want to model in 1/48, this would be it, that is superb, photos aren't too dusty either. Steve.
