Whilst that was drying the fuselage halves got some attention. Bombay detail and doors along with the tracking cemented in place.

Thanks Tony, typical as i had a set made for me a wfew years back just waiting for a better C/D model to be released. Was hoping Hasegawa followed up with their G,H,J versions but welcoming the airfix release.  Might have to grab that sheet for the other schemes!

Some progress on this gal.

Cockpit assembled and painted.

Pit inserted onto the port fuselage, no issues with fit at all.

Matching up the fuselage halves needed only a little persuasion. the seams being soft will need some filling and sanding.

Tail sections and wings cemented to the spars.  Need a little extra liquid cement at the joints to ensure that they are smooth rather than at right angles. Also a little bit of either filling or liquid glue and compression at the tail joint.

Engines painted on the sprue tut tut.

Cowls in place and setting out the engine nacelles with the u/c as per instructions.

Once set in place a test fitting for weight is required. I added a little bit more to the nacells but adding too much weight and the  nose u/c will not take the strain.  Im sure SAC will release if not already a weight and u/c set. Ill use this next time for this tail sitter.

Apparently I've missed this build so far. Looking good.

Back in August, 2015, Grumpy was at the Edmonton Airshow. I got to get inside for some pictures.

She has now been primed in stylnrez ready for her top coat which will be RAF Green as apposed to OD being a RAF kits and very likely to have been re-painted. Underside will be MSG. Paints will be Vallejo MA but its too hot in office to airbrush today.
