Hello all im in a bit of a quest for help. I am stuck and not sure which kit to build ? I have seen another member do this recently and I thought why not. I originally posted this in my current build. But i think i will get more traffic here. My three options are these, so If you feel like having a vote please do so.

My first option is the Revell F-102 with markings for the 431st Fighter Interceptor Squadron Spain 1961.

Next choice ... Is the Revell A-6E early model in VA-65 markings from U.S.S. Independence in 1972. This will require me to paint everything but stencils and Star & Bars.

Last option ...

Hasegawa F-18C+ in markings for VFA-86 Sidewinders.

These are all 1/48th scale kits and the  F-18 has A/M goodies to build in to it. So anyone and everyone is free to comment and offer there two cents. Currently i have votes for the.

F-102 {7

F-18C {2

A-6E {9

i will see if i get anymore votes. Thanks to everyone for looking and if you vote a thank you for doing so.

F-102. Far more interesting.

Divided opinions the Dennis so you'll just have to do a double build! :D

Looks as though the A-6 is miles in front.

I probably would have voted for the A-6, too (had it been a 106 not a 2: no contest ...HINT, HINT !!), but I will contribute changing the miles...

Instead of just 1, take a theme; a representative of all the a/c flown by the F-102 unit, representative examples of the CAG for the A-6 or the F-18.

Having built in 1/72 FGR.2 XV470 in all hr guises (I think/hope) it becomes obsessive!

I have used the Fujimi FGR.2 Phantom and the Fujimi F-4M kits to produce 13 different models of her in the various squadron markings she wore. Examples being in dark green/dark grey in the tactical scheme with red, white and blue roundals in 2 squadron markings, in the same camo scheme but with red and blue roundals in 17 squadron markings and in the air defence scheme with 19, 56 and 43 squadron markings. I have also modelled all the USN squadrons which flew the Phantom (about 25 I think)

Ok I understand better now. Ive considered building a themed group such as that. I may still do that someday. Currently Im just trying to build types I want in my permanent collection.

Hello everyone ... Id like to thank all of you that voted and offered suggestions. I guess i’ll be building the A-6. I shall start a WIP in the Carriers group build. I will hopefully do the Intruder justice. For the Duece I will do that as a following build after the Intruder.
