shatters
Sword 1/72 Harrier T4, 1Sqn RAF. Built for the Hawker Siddley GB. This was my first attempt at a short run kit, found it hard work in places, but am really pleased to have a T4 in my collection. Decals are a mix of the kits, airfix, modeldecal and xtradecal. Painted very badly with Humbrol acrylics and hairy sticks. Sorry about the quality of the pictures. Phil
Head in the clouds.
Glad you beat the kit into submission, it looks like a fine build, as for the paint, don't worry, as with anything it improves with time but it does not detract to much from the build, it was after all a temporary scheme anyway. Keep em coming. 1
shatters
Thanks Head, getting the colour density right on the white was my biggest problem. Phil
kapam
Nice job! I really should grab a 1/72 Harrier kit for my stash. Not surprised the Sword kit was a tricky one to tame, but that's a pretty nice result.
F-32
I like to use Halfords white primer for the white, I've used it on US Navy aircraft and it always looks right to my eye. Nice work on the Harrier, always been partial to this scheme 1
Mr T
A nice build. I have built a couple of Sword kits. Not for the beginner, but better than some. They do need a bit of fettling and test fitting.
shatters
Thanks for the comments guys. Building a sword T2 now, think it will be something more straight forward next. Phil
Flowgar
Humbrol paints are excellent, especially for those who use a brush like me, but the only color that doesn't work is white. I use Revell's enamel ...
