elmarriachi
Hello, one new project .... the actual (brand new) German bridge layer LEGUAN in 1:35. Based on the old Leopard 2 kit of Hobbyboss, conversion set of Y-Modelle. Wheels of Perfect Scale, photo etched parts of Tetra Model and Eduard....tracks of Friul ... Some first progress... fit is very good, casting perfect, details great (but more details necessary) Edited March 22, 2018 by elmarriachi
elmarriachi
Hello @ all, some update at the Leguan. The ice grippers were replaced, instead of the Hobbyboss and Y-Modelle parts I have used parts from Meng. The replaced ones look a bit too soft I think. Also the spare tracks (two parts of the Friul track) are installed. All the mudguards are replaced by photo etched parts by Eduard, also the holders for the tools, the grills and some small things at the rear. The hooks are resin parts of Perfect Scale.

Modeler8522
Nice build, I'm building the new Hobbyboss iguana they call the Leguan but it's the same the prototype vehicle with everything wrong and missing its taking forever scratch building all the things missing as the prototype was never in active service the baskets the rear arm the front steps the cameras all missing just crazy price I paid for a non buildable kit out the box! Modeler8522
Yeah but it's the prototype so basic with ni dozer steps on rear, plus the 4 side cam's and 5th middle one under front cantilever arm with 4 black IR lights all around. The main rear camera was moved to under the rear arm from the rear of the hull and the rear lights are completely different, they should be part of the rear big grill on the rear, very unique for the leguan the rear lights! Tankograd has been a god send but the kit's are away just now while the Buffels are being built my Friend is working on a 3D printed correction set for the leguan kit's just now so it'll be finished at somepoint all correct! As for the HB buffel that is stunning compared to the leguan kit just seems a completely new company with the moulding so nice so they have pleased me with this kit and we are waiting for the Bordor model's Kodiak I've 2 on pre order but again its going to be the Demonstration vehicle so will more than likely be alot missing from that kit aswell that will need adding but will be heck of alot easier than the unique leguan design! Lol ahh it's all good fun what modelling is all about!
