franky boy
Hi everyone Hot on the heels of last nights update here’s another one. The light gull grey is on. Again from humbrol. This one was a little thinner in the tin than the white so didn’t need quite as much thinning but has still gone on ok. I may need to do one more blend layer but I’ll see what it looks like in the morning as I want to end up with something that looks fairly well used. On to the red and black bits next. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking. James

franky boy
Hi everyone Decals are on. They’re printed by cartograph so quality is assured. The fun started with two of these monsters on the tail. And in progress. They actually went down pretty well with lots of micro set and sol. All of the other decals performed flawlessly. And one side of the fuselage finished. And the other just requiring the stencils. And the top of the wing This is my favourite. Thats all for now. Thanks for looking. Hewy
Looks great james, makes me want to do one even more, i did a bit of retro enamel painting on a little 72nd gr1 jaguar for the raf centenary gb, that went down well too, the crusader looks gorgeous though mate, well done so far Glynn
Jabba
Well done with the decals, those ones on the tail certainly add a splash of colour.

Especially the satin white. Like you say a bit of retro modelling. So on with an update as it's been ages. It's pretty much all together now as you can see below. The big tail decal settled down really well. And last night i began applying an oil wash and some streaking. I want to make it relatively grubby as these aircraft were well used machines. And some streaking on the underside. This is a little heavier than what shows up in the photo. Once the wash is finished i'll give a coat of varnish followed by a filter and some black/brown streaks with the airbrush in various areas. Thanks for looking. This wont be finished by the weekend for the end of the GB but please keep a look out in the RFI section soon. Thanks James
